Megan has been involved in the sport of purebred dogs for nearly her entire life. Her mother passed on her adoration for animals of all kinds. Beginning her involvement in dog shows firstly in obedience, she acquired her first show dogs, Alaskan Malamutes, when Megan was very young. Megan began showing dogs at the age of 9, and began her career in junior showmanship at the age of 10. At such a young age, the Malamutes were a bit too big thus after much research Megan decided that English Springer Spaniels were the breed for her. In 2006 and 2007, Megan was ranked as the #1 Old English Sheepdog handler in the country, and was in the Top 10 for the Herding Group. She has qualified for the Westminster Kennel Club dog show numerous times. She has successfully handled several breeds of dog to their championship.
